Welcome to RaY.

We support all youth under the age of 30. That includes:

  • Youth of all genders, including non-binary, trans, and gender non-conforming folks
  • Youth of all races and ethnicities
  • Youth who are First Nations, Metis, and Inuit, from the city or rural communities
  • Youth from all over Canada, Manitoba, and Winnipeg
  • Youth exiting justice, CFS, hospital, and other systems
  • Youth living with addiction and mental health
  • Youth of all abilities

We’re not here to judge you, just to help you out. Here’s how we can do that:

We’re here Monday to Friday 9am-5pm to chat. If you are in crisis or if this is an emergency, call 9-1-1
Drop-In
Drop-in is a safe space for you to hang out and get to know us. We always have a pot of coffee on and a hot meal. Anyone aged 29 and under can come to drop-in.
Basic Needs
Clothing bank, food, hygiene items, showers, and laundry. We can help you meet your basic needs.
Street Outreach
The Outreach team drives around Winnipeg in the black RaY van handing out food and supplies. Wave if you see us!
Housing
Whether you’re couch surfing, getting evicted, or looking for a place of your own, we have options. Everyone has a right to a safe home.
Primary Health
Make an appointment to see the Nurse Practitioner at RaY’s on-site health clinic. Non-judgmental healthcare for youth.
Mental Health & Addictions
Everyone struggles with mental health. You are not alone.
Education & Training
Whether you need intensive training or just help with your resume, our Growing Opportunities and Level Up! programs can help.
Cultural Supports
Reconnect with your culture or learn about a different culture. Non-judgmental cultural supports for all.

No Judgment

We’re not here to judge you, just to help you out. Here’s how we can do that:

  • A safe drop-in space, with coffee, couches, computers, food, and folks to chat with
  • Basic Needs, including showers, laundry, clothing bank, showers, and hygiene items
  • A street outreach team, who drive around handing out sandwiches and supplies
  • Housing supports, including eviction prevention, apartment hunting, and advocacy
  • Primary health, including a clinic at RaY with a Nurse Practitioner
  • A Mental Health and Addictions team, who can help you find resources when you’re ready or just chat if you’re not
  • Employment and training supports, including help with IDs, EIA and welfare, odd jobs, and a Level Up! training program
  • Cultural supports, including Cultural Advisors who can support you, individual cultural supports, and group activities where you can learn in a safe space
RaY Rules

We have one big rule at RaY: RESPECT. That means:

  • Respect yourself!
  • Respect others, including staff and other people
  • Respect the property, don’t damage stuff, use on-site, or steal
